Sun Days

Long awaited sun arrives.

Warm smiles and less attire.

All green space topped with bathing bodies,

absorbing rays.

Drinking lemonade on the patio while barbecue smokes.

Along the terrace a line of backyards come to life.

Neighbours shout, topping the level of noise,

they are demanding their children stop creating.

Lunching under the garden umbrella.

Protected from the UVA's.

Becoming a target for the flying bugs that mistake

the bright orange canvas for a Marigold.

The joy of Warm Days, Lazy Days, Sun Days.
